DECLARER PLAY PROBLEMS
This section presents a series of Declarer Play Problems, randomly ordered so you don't know what type of play problem you will be facing.
The whole idea is to use the Play Planning information presented elsewhere in this Chapter to decide how you will play each hand - before you look at the answer!
Planning ahead, before playing the first card from dummy, is easily the single most important Declarer skill. This is done by counting points and distribution if opponents bid; then, when the dummy comes down, by counting tricks you have off the top plus extra tricks you need or might get beyond your contract.
Plan to Win; Don't Plan and Lose. It's that simple.
